Founding Memebers of PERIM
The Malaysian Armed Forces Indian Veteran Association (PERIM) was born out of a shared vision of 38 dedicated Indian veterans on November 12, 2006, at the YMCA in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur. Originally founded as the ‘Malaysian Indian Ex-Servicemen’s Club,’ our primary mission has always been to uphold the spirit of esprit de corps and foster lifelong comradeship among those who served.
Under the leadership of our first President, Major Bhawanin A/L Jogologon (Rtd), PERIM was officially registered on January 30, 2008. As we grew in influence and scope, the organization was upgraded to an 'Association' in 2009.
In alignment with the Veterans Act 2012 (Act 740), we rebranded as PERIM on September 21, 2012, to better support the mission of the Department of Veterans Affairs (JHEV). Today, PERIM stands as a legally recognized body under the jurisdiction of the Director General of JHEV, with our current registration finalized on January 3, 2016. We remain committed to being the voice and support system for Malaysian Indian veterans nationwide.
